The second GTE-170 gas turbine has been sent to the construction site of the Khabarovsk CHPP-4. The equipment was manufactured by Silovye Mashiny, which completed factory tests before shipping to the customer.
The turbine was produced at the "LMZ Gas Turbine Production" in St. Petersburg. After all checks were completed, the unit was loaded onto railway platforms and sent to the Khabarovsk Krai. The route to the destination is about 11 thousand kilometers.
The GTE-170 became the second machine of this type intended for the new power plant. Khabarovsk CHPP-4 is being built as part of the state program for modernization and development of thermal power engineering in the Far East. After commissioning, the station is expected to replace part of the retiring capacities of Khabarovsk CHPP-1, which remains one of the largest thermal power plants in the region.
The design capacity of the new energy facility will be 410 MW of electrical power and 1389 Gcal/h of thermal energy. The station will use a combined cycle, which involves the use of Russian-made gas turbines. Natural gas will be the main fuel for the CHPP.
Installation, commissioning, and putting the equipment into operation will be carried out with the participation of specialists from the manufacturing enterprise.
Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that ODK revealed the operating principle and the main secret of the gas turbine.
