The assembly of the main equipment for the new turbine unit at Omskaya TPP-4 has been completed. According to AO "TGK-11", power engineers have installed the cylinders – units into which steam is supplied under pressure and which are responsible for energy generation. The project is being implemented as part of the government program for modernizing thermal power plants (KOMMod) with a total investment of 3.1 billion rubles.

The installed cylinders are a key element of the steam turbine. After the main equipment assembly is completed, builders proceed to install technological pipelines and auxiliary systems. The launch of the upgraded turbine unit is scheduled for the end of 2026. After commissioning, its installed electrical capacity will be 100 MW.

The modernization of the turbine unit at TPP-4 is already the fifth project of AO "TGK-11" under the KOMMod program. Previously, the company carried out a deep reconstruction of two similar machines, two more facilities are in the construction and installation phase, and a third is being designed. Thus, the station is gradually updating its generating equipment.
