Property of a large machine-building plant in Khabarovsk put up for auction

"Khabsudmash" declared bankrupt in 2024

The property of the Khabarovsk Gorky Plant ("Khabsudmash") was put up for sale after being declared bankrupt in 2024. The enterprise, once one of the largest productions in the region, went from defense machine-building to a severe crisis with multi-billion debts.

The plant was founded in 1935, initially specializing in aircraft repair.

In the post-war years, the enterprise was re-profiled for the production of ship cranes, winches, pumps, ship heat exchangers, and other ship equipment.

The financial situation of the enterprise sharply deteriorated by the early 2020s. By 2024, accounts payable exceeded 1.3 billion rubles; employees regularly faced salary delays.

In the same year, the arbitration court declared the plant insolvent, after which bankruptcy proceedings were opened.

Earlier, "Pervy Tekhnichesky" in a large article analyzed the situation with bankruptcies of enterprises in Russia — from aviation to the defense industry.
