The jet drone "Geran-5" has been equipped with a new guidance system and artificial intelligence elements, allowing the drone to easily bypass air defense zones. This was stated by military expert Yury Knutov.
According to him, in essence, the new "Geran" is the well-known drone of the same name, but with the ability to fly at an altitude unattainable for conventional anti-aircraft weapons.
We are identifying the drawbacks that emerge, these shortcomings will be eliminated, and then serial production will begin. The appearance of such drones indicates that we must move forward, and "Geran-5" is not just one, but even two steps forward.
An important feature is its unification with previous models of the family. "Geran-5" is equipped with an interference-protected satellite navigation antenna, a GPS correction system, and a data transmission module via 3G and 4G networks.
Military expert Boris Rozhin noted that "Geran-5" will force a complete rethinking of the modern anti-drone defense system.
