The Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern has already begun developing its own specialized droneports for the protection of critical facilities. This was announced by Dmitry Savitsky, Deputy General Director of the company.
According to him, the concern actively cooperates with developers of special droneports for UAV interceptors, which are integrated into security systems.
This allows us to reduce reaction time to threats and increase the effectiveness of UAV use by automating their launch and maintenance processes. We are also developing our own specialized droneports.
Almaz-Antey is primarily known for developing the S-500 "Prometey" and S-400 "Triumf" anti-aircraft missile systems.
However, it is precisely small-sized drones that may not be the most convenient target for such systems.
The first regiment with the S-500 "Prometey" air defense system has taken up combat duty. Russian Minister of Defence Andrey Belousov noted that the complex is capable of hitting targets even in near space.
