Nyagan GRES and "Sovremennye Tekhnologii Gazovykh Turbin" (STGT) have signed a cooperation agreement for another six years. The equipment at the three key power units of the station will be completely upgraded.
STGT will conduct various scheduled inspections, including 14 minor and three major gas turbine inspections.
The company will also repair generators and automation systems, restore old worn-out parts, and supply three new sets of turbine blades.
The three power units of Nyagan GRES are equipped with powerful SGT5-4000F gas turbines. The equipment was developed by the German concern Siemens; after its departure from Russia, STGT successfully handles maintenance.
After the cessation of Siemens gas turbine supplies, Russian energy companies faced a choice between domestic solutions and supplies from China, but the latter are very expensive.
