The potential demand was reported by the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation, noting the complex's popularity in foreign markets.

Komar is an integrated turret system combining Igla-S (9M342) and Ataka (9M120-1) class missiles.
The complex is equipped with a gyro-stabilized platform, which allows the use of weapons with high accuracy in conditions of sea movement. Target acquisition and tracking are implemented in both automatic and manual modes, which expands the tactical flexibility of the system in coastal and near-sea zones.
