The United Shipbuilding Corporation stated that the modernized heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" might have influenced the rethinking of approaches to creating strike naval forces in the United States. This opinion was expressed by OSK head Andrey Puchkov on the sidelines of the International Maritime Defense Show "Fleet-2026" in St. Petersburg.
It is possible that the capabilities of our ship made military analysts across the ocean think and significantly influenced the formation of the concept of strike forces of the so-called "Golden Fleet" of the USA.
Puchkov noted that certain solutions implemented on the Russian ship, in his opinion, are similar to the parameters of American TRUMP-class ships.
The head of OSK also explained that the modernized "Admiral Nakhimov" is considered one of the most powerful surface ships in its class, and its updated weapon and control systems could become a benchmark in global naval competition.
Earlier, "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that the heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" began the final stage of trials after repair and deep modernization. The ship is preparing to return to the combat strength of the Northern Fleet, where it will become one of the most powerful surface ships of the Russian Navy.
