The heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" of Project 1144.2M has undergone comprehensive modernization and, in terms of a number of characteristics, surpasses modern foreign ships. This was stated by Andrey Puchkov, General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK).
According to him, outdated systems on the cruiser were replaced with modern weapon and armament samples.
Today, in terms of a whole range of tactical, technical, and operational characteristics, it surpasses modern foreign ships.
Nikolai Patrushev, Head of the Russian Maritime Board, noted that the "Admiral Nakhimov" will soon return to service, but did not specify exact dates.
Western journalists have already called the "Admiral Nakhimov" the most dangerous cruiser in the world due to its powerful armament.
