OSK showcased the "Triton-2" future ultra-small submarine: six divers, covert delivery, and autonomous operation

The mini-submarine will expand the capabilities of underwater operations at a range of up to 50 nautical miles

At the International Maritime Defense Show "FLOT-2026", a project of an ultra-small submarine for covert delivery of divers and their equipment was showcased. The development was presented by specialists from the United Shipbuilding Corporation together with the Malakhit Design Bureau.

The new mini-submarine is designed as a universal platform for combat swimmers' operations and underwater technical tasks. In a manned or remotely controlled version, it can transport up to six people with a full set of equipment up to 50 nautical miles from the base without the involvement of escort ships.

The "Triton-2" design focuses on covert and autonomous use. A stationary breathing system is provided on board, which works in conjunction with individual diver apparatuses, and boarding and disembarking are carried out through upper sliding hatches made of transparent organic glass.

The project relies on compactness, autonomy, and expanding the capabilities of underwater operations without involving a large fleet.
