The new armament of the Russian heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser \"Admiral Nakhimov\" of Project 11442M will turn it into a \"missile truck.\" The features of the modernized warship were revealed in a publication by the American edition The National Interest (TNI).
Journalists reported that the ship will be equipped with 60 hypersonic anti-ship missiles \"Zircon\" and cruise missiles \"Caliber.\"
Moscow seems intent on ensuring the \"Admiral Nakhimov's\" superiority over any NATO warship it encounters. Together with anti-aircraft missile systems, the \"Admiral Nakhimov\" will turn into a giant missile truck.
The cruiser \"Admiral Nakhimov\" has been under repair since 1999. The main result of the cruiser's modernization will be increased strike power.
The head of the Sevmash enterprise, Mikhail Budnichenko, stated that in the process of modernizing the \"Admiral Nakhimov,\" new innovative and technological solutions were introduced. On all issues, there was constant interaction between the Navy command and Sevmash and USC.
