The restoration of the DV71L gas turbine engine has reached the assembly stage after a series of repair works. The project involves restoring the equipment's service life and preparing the power unit for further operation. The work is being carried out by "Dieselzipservice", a company specializing in the maintenance and repair of power plants.
At the current stage, specialists are focused on checking and assembling the main engine components. Particular attention is paid to the condition of the flow path, fuel and oil system units, as well as components that directly affect the reliability of the unit's operation and its service life.
Repairs are carried out using specialized technological equipment and measuring systems, which allow monitoring the parameters of parts and components at all stages of work. This approach is necessary to ensure the required engine characteristics after restoration.
DV71L belongs to the class of industrial gas turbine engines used in power and drive units. The engine design includes a compressor, a combustion chamber, and a turbine section that converts the energy of hot gases into mechanical work. The efficiency of the unit, fuel consumption, and equipment service life largely depend on the technical condition of the blading, rotors, and flow path elements. This is why diagnostics, defect detection, and restoration of the most heavily loaded gas turbine components are of particular importance during overhaul.
Upon completion of assembly operations, the engine will undergo scheduled checks and control tests, which will confirm the equipment's readiness for further operation.
