Russian Navy to receive new Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft systems

The combat module can be installed on vessels with a displacement of 500 tons or more

The new Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile system has successfully passed combat tests and entered serial production. By the end of the year, the air defense systems, adapted for maritime conditions, will be delivered to the Russian Navy.

Thanks to the implementation of a number of innovations, the missile systems can now be mounted not only on warships but also on vessels with a displacement of 500 tons or more, meaning even on yachts, said Dmitry Zakhar, Assistant General Director of IEMZ "Kupol".

On small ships – one module on the bow or stern. On medium-displacement ships – two, on the quarterdeck on both sides. The module can also be installed on auxiliary vessels called up to the fleet for mobilization deployment – icebreakers and others.
