In Kurgan, the preliminary investigation into the criminal case of bribery at the defense enterprise Kurganmashzavod has been completed. The Investigative Committee established that the former head of the metals department received a large bribe.
Reportedly, the accused lobbied for the interests of one of the metal suppliers. Materials for the plant's needs were purchased at inflated prices, for which the manager received monetary compensation.
During searches, approximately 1.8 million rubles were seized from the Kurganmashzavod employee. He was placed in a pre-trial detention center for the duration of the investigation, where he remains to this day.
"Kurganmashzavod" specializes, among other things, in the production of BMD-4M and BMP-3 combat vehicles. Recently, the enterprise did not receive machines worth 550 million rubles.
