The new Volga C50 has already appeared on Russian roads even before the official start of sales. A car transporter with the sedan was spotted by an "Avtopoilka" reader in Moscow. Other eyewitnesses report that the first cars have also appeared in the parking lots of some future brand dealers. Sales of the new product are expected to begin on June 19.
The Volga C50 is a mid-size business-class sedan based on the Geely Preface. The car differs from the original model in its front-end design, signature grille, and emblems of the revived Russian brand.
The sedan will be offered with a two-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 150 or 200 hp. In both cases, the engine will work with a seven-speed robotic gearbox. The drive is front-wheel drive.
The Volga C50 features LED optics, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, surround-view cameras, and an audio system with 12 speakers. Adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, and a lane-keeping system are also announced.
For Russian conditions, a set of winter options is provided: heated steering wheel, front and rear seats, windshield, exterior mirrors, and washer nozzles.
