A new Signal-24 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been developed in the Ulyanovsk region, capable of transporting up to 10 kg over a distance of up to 10 km. This was reported by Izvestia.
The UAV is capable of performing tasks autonomously according to given coordinates. The design was thought out taking into account practical experience of operation in combat operations.
Signal-24 is resistant to all electronic warfare systems.
Earlier, Moscow engineer Vladimir Luchnikov developed an unusual engine for drones, where cooling was built directly into the body, and the rotor was turned into a light aluminum cylinder with rare-earth magnets SmCo5 or Nd2Fe14B with high coercivity.
Also, a new project for the production of engines for unmanned aerial vehicles is being implemented in the Krasnodar Territory. The total volume is estimated at 6 thousand units per year.
