Russia's only aircraft carrier, "Admiral Kuznetsov" of Project 1143.5, remains at the outfitting quay of the 35th Ship Repair Plant in Murmansk, in the waters of the Kola Bay. This was reported by the newspaper "Na Strazhe Zapolyarya".
First-year students of the Nakhimov Naval School visited the base in Gadzhiyevo. During the trip, they also saw the aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov".
Recall that the docking repair of the "Kuznetsov" was completed in February 2023, when the cruiser was moved out of the technical facility built for it. According to current data for June 2026, the exact date of the ship's return to the Northern Fleet remains uncertain.
In March, an up-to-date photo of the aircraft carrier went viral online. It can be concluded that no changes have occurred in two months.
In July 2025, the "Admiral Kuznetsov" was intended to be mothballed. According to various estimates, about 100 billion rubles were spent on the ship, but there is no official information.
