Russian engineers manufactured complete analogues of parts for Siemens turbine

Kronstadt company produced a set of guide vanes according to original design documentation from Germany

A large petrochemical plant prevented an emergency shutdown of its power unit by receiving critically important spare parts for a Siemens steam turbine. The supply was provided by the engineering company "Kronstadt".

The set included guide vanes for the K-4.5-1.2 unit. The parts were manufactured at a Russian production site strictly according to the original design documentation of the German concern.

The partner plant was previously part of the Siemens structure and had been producing turbine equipment for decades. For the blades, engineers chose corrosion-resistant martensitic steel 20Kh13Sh. This alloy maintains strength at high temperatures and is resistant to wear, which is vital for steam turbine units.

Specialists of the operating organization confirmed full compliance of geometry, processing quality, and technical parameters with original Siemens products.

The press service of "Kronstadt" explained that the enterprise has production facilities for manufacturing critical components of Siemens and Dresser Rand turbocompressors. The current nomenclature includes parts for SST steam turbines, SGT gas units, as well as rotors and working blades. The company is ready to promptly meet the industry's needs for complex spare parts without loss of operational characteristics.
