The Russian company "Tyazhpromexport" is entering a new energy market in Myanmar, with a population of 55 million people, by implementing a project to modernize industrial generation. The contract provides for the upgrade of the waste heat power plant at the metallurgical plant in Pang Pet.
As part of the project, two steam turbines, each with a capacity of 20 MW, will be installed at the enterprise.
After modernization, the enterprise will be able to switch to almost autonomous energy supply, using secondary energy resources of its own production and reducing dependence on external grids.
The project includes a complete reconstruction of the energy infrastructure: installation of turbines and boiler equipment, updating of auxiliary systems, personnel training, and commissioning of the plant to its design capacity.
Recently, Russian energy has been actively moving towards the Global South. The Russian Federation also plans to supply equipment for hydroelectric power plants and wind farms to Argentina.
