The Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched a set of economic incentives to integrate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into the economy. As Deputy Minister Vasily Shpak told RIA "Novosti", buyers of domestic UAVs can get back up to 40% of their cost, and operators receive a subsidy for each flight hour. In addition, there is a state civil order, under which more than three thousand units have been delivered in two years.
In parallel, a point system for confirming the Russian origin of products has been introduced, and a register of domestic industrial products is maintained. Exporters are compensated for transportation and certification costs within the framework of the national project "International Cooperation and Export". As Shpak explained, the ministry's role is now shifting from manual control to monitoring efficiency and fine-tuning the system where necessary.
Thus, the state is no longer simply purchasing drones for its fleet but is moving to a model of subsidizing services with measurable economic results. This stimulates not one-time sales, but the formation of a sustainable market with a clear economy for operators and manufacturers.
