Russian drones will have a path abroad: a support program for UAV exports is launched

Government support will cover part of the companies' expenses for promotion and certification abroad

In 2026, a new measure of state support for manufacturers of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) will be launched in Russia — compensation for costs when entering foreign markets. This was announced by State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Roman Chekushov.

The decision was made as part of a roadmap for the development of exports of unmanned systems, approved in accordance with instructions to stimulate new high-tech industries.

For the first time, a mechanism will be tested to compensate Russian companies for expenses related to the export of drones. This should reduce the financial burden on manufacturers and accelerate the promotion of domestic products abroad.

The Ministry will resume the program to support the certification of domestic products in foreign jurisdictions. This step will allow Russian companies to officially confirm the quality and safety of their systems, which is a prerequisite for entering foreign markets. The Deputy Minister clarified that the amount of funding is still small, but this measure will help to gain a foothold in key areas and assess the potential of international demand for Russian drones.
