New photos of the two-seat fifth-generation Su-57D fighter have appeared online, showing a previously unseen silhouette of an unmanned version of the Su-75 Checkmate. This was reported by the author of the Telegram channel "Oboronka".
According to him, the new unmanned Checkmate variant differs from the concept demonstrated earlier. Judging by the images, the developers continue to work on the appearance of the promising aircraft. It is assumed that the drone will be able to act as a wingman for the Su-57D during combat operations.
It is also reported that the Su-57D may receive promising weaponry. Among them is the low-observable Kh-69 air-to-surface cruise missile, as well as the "Izdelie 810" missile, which is called a further development of the R-37M.
The characteristics of "Izdelie 810" are not officially disclosed. According to open sources, the target engagement range can reach 450 kilometers, and the speed can be about Mach 6.
The Su-57D is considered a platform for controlling strike drones and coordinating the actions of an air group in the air.
