Construction of a new stamping shop has begun at the Belgee plant in Belarus, which should significantly increase the localization of car production for the Russian market. This involves the production of large body parts directly at the SZAA "Belgee" site, without dependence on external suppliers.
The new production complex will occupy more than 5000 m². It will house a modern press line and a die storage area. It is planned to produce doors, side panels, fenders, hoods, trunk lids, and roofs, including versions with a sunroof. In addition, the enterprise will be able to independently produce body floor elements and engine compartment partitions.
A separate warehouse of about 3650 m² will be built nearby for storing finished parts before shipment for assembly. The launch of the new stamping production is scheduled for 2027.
At the same time, the welding shop at the plant is being expanded. The new building, with an area of about 9400 m², will receive additional robotic lines for automatic assembly of body elements. After modernization, the number of robots at the enterprise will increase by 2.5 times — to 150 units.
Currently, in Russia, the Belgee brand sells X50, X50+, and X70 crossovers, as well as the S50 sedan. Increased localization can help the company accelerate production growth and reduce dependence on imported components.
