A new stage of construction of the airport complex has begun in Krasnodar — contractors have started laying the top layer of the apron pavement. The work is being carried out by the "Aerodinamika" holding as part of the new airport terminal project.
High-strength concrete, designed to withstand loads from various types of aircraft, has already begun to be used for the apron. Simultaneously, the construction of taxiways, installation of a drainage system, laying of cable infrastructure, and preparation of foundations for airfield facilities continue on the site.
The area of the new passenger apron will be 22 hectares. It will be equipped with 28 aircraft stands, and new taxiways will connect the facility with the existing runway.
The construction of the airfield infrastructure is planned to be completed in 2027. After the complex is put into operation, the airport will receive a new terminal and related facilities. According to the company, the capacity will increase to 7.5 million passengers per year, and the terminal area will increase almost sixfold — to 83 thousand m². The total investment exceeds 60 billion rubles.
