The nuclear cruiser "Perm" of the "Yasen-M" project is undergoing maneuvers before being handed over to the Navy

The new nuclear submarine cruiser K-572 "Perm" of project 885M "Yasen-M" is undergoing factory tests before being handed over to the Russian Navy. A video of the submarine's maneuvers was published by journalist Oleg Kuleshov.

"Perm" became the first Russian multi-purpose nuclear submarine, routinely armed with hypersonic Zircon cruise missiles. This was previously stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The submarine was laid down on July 29, 2016, at the Sevmash plant in Severodvinsk, and in March 2025, it was rolled out of the boathouse to begin testing.

Project 885M "Yasen-M" was developed by the St. Petersburg Marine Engineering Bureau "Malakhit". Submarines of this type are among the most modern nuclear submarines of the Russian fleet.
