Su-34 plant to build a radio-absorbing coatings facility for 4 billion rubles

The workshop at the Chkalov plant is necessary for re-equipping frontline aviation

The Department of Architectural and Construction Inspection of the Novosibirsk Mayor's Office has extended the construction permit for the building of the V. P. Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant until November 2027. The project is being implemented as part of several reconstruction stages.

This refers to a facility for applying radio-absorbing and paint coatings, as well as modernizing mechanical processing production.

The building is being constructed in the Dzerzhinsky district of Novosibirsk on Polzunova Street. The estimated cost of the work as of 2023 was 4.1 billion rubles.

The permit for the reconstruction of a number of mechanical workshops at the aircraft plant was also extended until March 2027.

Recall that the Chkalov Aviation Plant builds Su-34 bombers. The "Novosibirsk News" portal clarified that radio-absorbing coatings are also applied to "Okhotnik" drones.

Recently, the total number of Su-34 fighters in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces was estimated at at least 240 units.
