A rare ATS-59G tracked tractor in almost perfect condition has been put up for sale on one of the Russian classifieds websites. The vehicle is being offered for 4.9 million rubles. Judging by the published photos and description, the equipment is well-preserved and may be of interest to both collectors and enthusiasts of heavy military equipment.
The ATS-59G was produced as a heavy artillery tractor for the Soviet Army. The vehicle was intended for towing large artillery systems and trailers weighing up to 14 tons, transporting personnel and cargo, and installing various special equipment.

In the 1970s and 1980s, such tractors were actively used in the military, but later some of the vehicles were transferred to civilian enterprises after the reduction in the volume of towed artillery.
One of the features of the ATS-59G was its six-seat sealed cabin with an enhanced heating system and protection for the crew from radioactive dust. For this purpose, overpressure was created inside, which prevented contaminated air from entering.
The vehicle received a 12-cylinder A-650G diesel engine from the V-2 family, unified with tank equipment. This solution simplified maintenance and repair even in field conditions.
The production of the ATS-59G was once moved to Poland after the Kurgan Plant was reoriented to produce BMP-1s. In addition to military service, the tractor was used in the national economy, and in some countries, multiple rocket launcher systems and repair complexes were even created based on it.
The appearance of a well-preserved ATS-59G on the open market has become a rare event for the Soviet military equipment market. Such vehicles are not often found today, especially in a condition close to original.
