The capital is switching public transport to summer mode

Seasonal preparation of ground transport for summer has been completed in Moscow. Before the onset of heat, specialists checked thousands of buses, electric buses, and trams to make it more comfortable for passengers to travel during the warm season. The Moscow Department of Transport announced the completion of the work.

According to Deputy Mayor of the capital Maksim Liksutov, city transport has been fully switched to summer operating mode. It will be in effect until autumn and the first cold snaps.

Currently, Moscow's ground transport operates on more than 780 routes. Over 7,000 buses and electric buses, as well as more than 550 trams, have undergone seasonal maintenance.

In buses and electric buses, specialists tested climate control systems and checked rubber seals on doors and windows. In trams, air conditioning systems underwent technical maintenance.

In addition, drivers received additional instructions on working in changing road conditions during the summer.

The department emphasized that transport preparation is carried out every season to maintain passenger comfort and safety at any time of the year.
