Graphene, Transport, and Tokenization: Rusnano and NanoMalaysia Agree on Partnership

The parties will jointly develop projects in new materials, electric logistics, and intellectual property

Rusnano and the Malaysian company NanoMalaysia Berhad (NMB) in Kuala Lumpur have agreed to cooperate on the implementation of graphene and graphene-based solutions in industry. The parties decided to combine efforts to create a multidisciplinary scientific and technological consortium.

Graphene is an ultra-thin carbon material that can increase the strength, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and other properties of materials. For Rusnano, the development of this area is based on many years of experience with graphene and other carbon materials. The company noted that the nanotechnological agenda is migrating to a practice-oriented approach for implementing developed solutions in industry, and NanoMalaysia is a key technological partner in the main markets of Asia.

The consortium will focus on developing practical cooperation in new materials, mobile and autonomous transport systems, electric logistics, and the tokenization of intellectual property. The negotiations focused on practical areas of technological cooperation and the development of joint projects in the markets of Southeast Asia.

NMB CEO Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad noted that the partnership with Rusnano opens up opportunities for attracting investments in the development of practical applications of graphene and advanced materials, and also strengthens Malaysia's position in the field of energy transition.
