Il-114-300 production to almost double

The Lukhovitsy plant can produce 12 airliners per year but will increase the pace to 20

The P. A. Voronin Aviation Plant in Lukhovitsy will increase the production of new Il-114-300 turboprop aircraft to 20 units annually by 2030. This was announced by Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov at a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation.

He expressed hope that the Il-114-300 will receive its type certificate in 2026.

The aircraft turned out well – a replacement for the An-24 and An-26. These aircraft are already outdated, there are no spare parts, and repairs are practically not carried out. Therefore, we need to launch it as quickly as possible.

In February, Alexander Shashkov, head of the final assembly shop at the P. A. Voronin plant, noted that current production capacities allow for the construction of one Il-114-300 per month, which is 12 per year.

According to the updated Comprehensive Civil Aviation Development Program until 2035, 93 Il-114-300 aircraft will be built in Russia. The previous version of the CPGA until 2030 specified 51 planned units.
