Il-114-300 may soon begin operations on regional routes

Aviation expert Roman Gusarov: type certificate for the new turboprop aircraft will be issued in a few weeks

Flight tests of the regional aircraft Il-114-300 have been successfully completed, and, according to Roman Gusarov, editor-in-chief of the AVIA.RU portal and aviation industry expert, a type certificate for this aircraft may be issued in the near future.

According to the expert, the certification flight program has been fully completed, and all necessary documentation has already been submitted to Rosaviatsiya. The aircraft is currently undergoing the final stage of processing before deliveries begin.

For the turboprop "Il", the documents are undergoing the processing stage. The volume of documents is enormous, and all of it is subject to multiple re-checks and consolidation. After that, the aircraft will be issued a type certificate. It can be expected that this will happen within a few weeks.

Gusarov noted that the Il-114-300 is considered one of Russia's key projects in the regional aviation segment. The aircraft was created as a replacement for outdated An-24 and foreign turboprop airliners of a similar class.

The Il-114-300 is equipped with Russian TV7-117ST-01 engines and is designed for operation on local airlines, including in difficult climatic conditions. Earlier, Rostec also reported that the machine's certification flights were completed in full.
