Medvedev: Most new medical equipment in Russia is already domestically produced

Over 40,000 units of equipment were supplied to the country's hospitals in a year

A large-scale upgrade of medical equipment is underway in Russian hospitals. More than tens of thousands of units of modern medical equipment were supplied to healthcare institutions in Russia in 2025, with most of it being domestically produced. This was stated by Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of United Russia, speaking at the party's reporting and program forum.

According to him, the renewal of medical equipment must be continuous, as it becomes obsolete.

If we talk about modern medical equipment, more than 40 thousand units were supplied last year alone. At the same time, which is also important, most of the updated equipment is already domestically produced. And this is good equipment; it's not just to say that we have domestic samples. This is actually good equipment in most cases.
Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of United Russia

Medvedev recalled that healthcare development became one of the key directions of the party's 2021 national program. Within its framework, a large-scale upgrade of primary healthcare was carried out, and this process is planned to continue.

Over these few years, about 6.5 thousand feldsher-midwife stations, polyclinics, and outpatient clinics have been built in Russia, and about 8 thousand medical facilities have been renovated.
