Heavy machinery plant in Miass may be declared bankrupt due to debt

The court will verify the validity of the claim in June

The Arbitration Court of Chelyabinsk Oblast has accepted for proceedings a bankruptcy claim against OOO "Zavod Tyazhelykh Mashin" from Miass. The claim was filed by "TeploGazStroyPlus" company.

The plaintiff demands that the enterprise be declared insolvent and that a debt of 96.6 million rubles be included in the register of creditors. The candidacy of an arbitration manager, Konstantin Sergeev from SRO "Yuzhny Ural", has also been proposed.

The court has scheduled a hearing to verify the validity of the application for June 9. Following this, it will become clear whether bankruptcy proceedings will be initiated.

"Zavod Tyazhelykh Mashin" specializes in the production of heavy-class wheeled vehicles under the "KHANT" brand. Such machines are used in industry and on difficult off-road sections.

It should be noted that a claim does not automatically mean bankruptcy. However, if it is recognized, the enterprise may come under external management or begin liquidation proceedings.

Earlier, it became known that a machine-building plant in Zelenodolsk, where 400 local residents work, will be closed. Some employees have already been laid off under the article on enterprise liquidation.
