The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has restricted the validity of Izhavia's air operator certificate until July 28, 2026. The decision was made after a visit by Rostransnadzor specialists to the carrier's production base in Izhevsk, Rosaviatsia's press service reported.
Supervisory body employees identified the following violations: allowing an aircraft to fly that had not undergone full technical maintenance, as well as "improper functioning of the flight safety management system".
The head of Rosaviatsia met with Izhavia's management and demanded a plan to address the issues.
Aviation safety is a key priority for all participants in our industry without exception. There should be no sloppiness or irresponsible attitude in this matter.
Izhavia's press service commented on the restrictions imposed by Rosaviatsia. The airline assured that all flights would be operated according to the approved schedule, with no cancellations or delays.
The issues identified during the preventive visit are being addressed.
The airline's management has agreed on a corrective action plan with Rostransnadzor. An internal audit of the airworthiness and aircraft maintenance departments is currently underway, the press service concluded.
