Azur Air eliminated almost all Rostransnadzor remarks on airworthiness and fleet

Rosaviatsiya to discuss certificate and maintenance plan with carrier

Azur Air has eliminated almost all remarks identified by Rostransnadzor after an unscheduled inspection. The next stage is a meeting between Rosaviatsiya head Dmitry Yadrov and the carrier's CEO Evgeny Korolev, where they are to discuss the operator's certificate, the state of the aircraft fleet, and the maintenance of engine airworthiness.

The technological part of this story is more important than formal procedures. For an airline, it's about controlling aircraft resources, defect accounting, timely component replacement, engineering documentation, and the operation of the maintenance system. These processes determine how quickly a carrier can return aircraft to the schedule after malfunctions are identified.

Almost all remarks that were in the Rostransnadzor act have been eliminated. We are planning a meeting with the general director to discuss an action plan for both the certificate and the aircraft fleet from the perspective of maintaining the airworthiness of both aircraft and their engines.
Dmitry Yadrov, Head of Rosaviatsiya

Earlier, Rosaviatsiya limited the validity of Azur Air's operator certificate until June 8, 2026. The reason was aviation incidents related to technical malfunctions, delays, and flight cancellations. The corrective action plan submitted by the carrier was sent back by the regulator for revision.
