Pacific Fleet Detachment Enters Strategic Chinese Port of Qingdao

Crews of the "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" submarine and "Gromky" corvette will participate in meetings and joint events with the Chinese Navy

A detachment of ships from the Russian Pacific Fleet has arrived in the port of Qingdao, People's Republic of China, for a business visit. The group includes the diesel-electric submarine "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky", the corvette "Gromky", and the sea tug "Andrey Stepanov".

At the pier, the Russian crews were met by representatives of the Chinese Navy and employees of the Russian Embassy. During the visit, sailors from both countries will hold working meetings and conferences to exchange experience. The program also includes excursions around Qingdao, visits to city attractions, and sports events with Chinese naval personnel.

The Pacific Fleet detachment departed from Vladivostok in early March to perform tasks in the Asia-Pacific region. Before entering China, the Russian ships visited Jakarta, Indonesia, as part of a long-distance voyage.
