Russia produces a full range of unmanned aerial vehicles — from compact FPV drones and copters to large aircraft-type UAVs. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev at the educational marathon "Knowledge. The First."
According to him, until 2022, the domestic drone industry was noticeably lagging, but in recent years, the situation has sharply changed thanks to the work of defense enterprises and state support.
Medvedev noted that the industry was practically rebuilt in a short time. He emphasized that investments were directed into the sector, and coordination between the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and enterprises allowed for the formation of full-fledged production of drones of various classes.
Medvedev noted that the Russian military industry has undergone significant transformations. He stressed that the entire range of armaments, including both classic systems and the latest developments, has been updated.
He separately emphasized that, according to estimates, modern types of weapons, including unmanned systems, play a key role in military conflicts today.
