Acting General Director of Severnaya Verf, Vasily Volegov, stated that the enterprise is reviving mechanical engineering. It is planned to expand the range of manufactured products in order to "not waste time waiting for parts deliveries" from partners. The new workshop will operate in several shifts, he concluded.

Severnaya Verf has launched a large-scale modernization program. Here, large-capacity vessels up to 350 m long and 60 m high will be built, including gas carriers, bulk carriers, and dry cargo ships. The program is planned to be implemented by 2030.
