Heavy UAV manufacturer "Kronstadt" changed CEO and began transformation amid billion-dollar losses

The company repaid debt to one of its creditors and is trying to recover 8.6 billion from insurers

The parent company of the heavy military drone manufacturer – OOO "GK "Kronstadt" – launched a reorganization in the form of transformation on April 27. The reasons are not disclosed, but the background around the company is negative.

By the end of 2025, the holding showed a loss of 4.6 billion rubles with revenue of only 100.2 million rubles. Net assets were 8.1 billion below the authorized capital – a situation in which the company faces either liquidation or rehabilitation. The report explicitly stated "significant uncertainty in the ability to continue operations."

Since the beginning of the year alone, the subsidiary AO "Kronstadt" has accumulated more than 40 lawsuits for 590 million rubles, and a total of 60 cases for 1.1 billion rubles are being considered. At the end of March, OOO "SKB Elektronnogo Priborostroeniya" filed for bankruptcy of AO "Kronstadt" due to a debt of 9.2 million rubles. Today, the creditor withdrew the application after the company repaid the debt.

A lifeline in the form of a lawsuit against "Sberbank Strakhovanie" for 8.6 billion rubles was rejected by the arbitration on April 21 – probably on formal grounds. After this, two new lawsuits were filed by AO "Kronstadt" against "Sberbank Strakhovanie" and AO RNPK for the same amount.

In early April, GK "Kronstadt" changed its CEO – Georgy Skoryatin, who also heads the UAV manufacturer OOO "Diam-Aero" and the software development company "AVS.Pro", took over. Both companies are controlled by GK "Ikar". The founder of GK "Ikar" is now ZPIF "Tekhnofond" instead of AFK "Sistema", which also owns 49.66% of GK "Kronstadt".

The transformation of a legal entity is a classic anti-crisis mechanism that allows changing the form of ownership for a new investor.
