Kalashnikov Concern achieved an economic effect of over 38 million rubles in 2025 thanks to the ideas of its own employees. This result was provided by Kaizen proposals — initiatives to eliminate losses and optimize work processes, which are registered by the company's internal system.
Over 12 months, plant employees submitted more than 4000 improvement applications. 150 of them brought measurable financial benefits. The main contribution to savings was made by specialists directly involved in product manufacturing: machine operators, adjusters, fitters, and engineers in weapon workshops.
Sergey Ovchinnikov, Managing Director of the concern, noted that the enterprise encourages rationalization initiatives, as they help fulfill the growing state order without expanding staff and facilities. According to him, employee suggestions make work easier and production more predictable and productive.
The practice of continuous improvement implemented by Kalashnikov has become an example for other industrial enterprises in Russia. Delegations from machine-building plants regularly visit the Izhevsk site to study working lean manufacturing tools and adapt them to their tasks.
