Kamikaze drones "Lancet" transformed into a replacement for fighters and frigates

ZALA: reconnaissance and strike complex will ensure protection of maritime borders

The Russian "Lancet-E" complex with kamikaze drones has been proposed for use in protecting maritime borders without involving expensive ships and combat aircraft. The capabilities of the system were reported by the ZALA company.

The reconnaissance and strike complex (RUK) is designed to combat so-called asymmetric threats — drones, boats, and other low-observable targets.

ZALA emphasized that the new approach will help reduce costs compared to using fighters or large ships, while maintaining the effectiveness of maritime border protection.

The "Lancet-E" includes the Z-16E reconnaissance drone and "Product-51E" and "Product-52E" loitering munitions.

The reconnaissance drone is equipped with a machine vision system that automatically detects and tracks targets, after which the strike drones receive target designation and attack the object.

Earlier, ZALA improved the combat capabilities of Z-16 reconnaissance drones by integrating artificial intelligence directly on board.
