Kazakhstan rejected Russian turbines - Chinese ones are stuck in courts

Equipment for GRES-2 is not used due to a dispute with the supplier

In Kazakhstan, after rejecting Russian turbines for the Ekibastuz GRES-2, some of the equipment purchased from China has been mothballed. The reason is a legal dispute with the supplier, reported the "Samruk-Energo" holding.

According to the holding, the dispute arose with Harbin Electric International. It concerns main and auxiliary equipment for power units.

The equipment from China purchased for the modernization of Ekibastuz GRES-2 is not being used and is stored on site in a mothballed state.
