Russia’s latest fifth-generation fighter jet, the Su-57E, was presented at the Defence Services Asia international arms and military equipment exhibition in Malaysia. Rosoboronexport displayed a detailed model of the aircraft.
Representatives of the exporter stated that the Su-57E could become an option for the development of the Royal Malaysian Air Force thanks to its unification with the weapons systems of the existing Su-30MKM fleet.
Russia has already concluded several export contracts for the supply of the Su-57E, but the specific countries have not yet been disclosed.
In November 2025, OAK head Vadim Badekha confirmed that two Su-57E fighter jets had already been delivered to a foreign customer. The Telegram channel "Russkoe oruzhie" clarified that this referred to the Algerian Air Force.
