Russian driver's licenses may be recognized in China - Senator Abramov

A similar measure is planned for Chinese motorists

The authorities of Russia and China should resolve the issue of recognizing driver's licenses so that motorists can move freely between countries. This opinion was expressed by Ivan Abramov, Deputy Head of the Committee of the Federation Council on Economic Policy.

Currently, several land crossings are open between Russia and China. They are located in the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Amur Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Khabarovsk Territory, and Primorye. Taking into account the visa-free regime, Russians could travel to China by car, the senator emphasized.

We are now actively working at all levels on the issue of recognizing our driver's licenses in China. It will be very convenient for people to travel by car.
Ivan Abramov, Senator

Abramov expressed confidence that the authorities will extend the visa-free regime. This will give a new impetus to the development of relations between our countries, he concluded.
