Mi-24 and Mi-35M combat helicopters may become carriers of Lancet kamikaze drones

Military expert Marzhetsky: Combat vehicles will be able to launch UAVs and control them remotely

Mi-24 and Mi-35M combat helicopters may get a new role - carriers of air-launched Lancet kamikaze drones. This was stated by military expert Sergei Marzhetsky.

According to him, no major modernization of the equipment will be required. It is enough to install launch containers and integrate a powerful signal repeater connected to the external antenna of the helicopter.

If you launch a "Lancet-3" with the help of an accelerator from a helicopter, which itself turns into an airborne command post, you can increase the combat radius of the "Lancet" to 100-150 km by using other UAVs as repeaters!
Sergei Marzhetsky, military expert

Marzhetsky explained the idea by changing the role of army aviation. In the conditions of saturation of the battlefield with man-portable anti-aircraft systems, helicopters are less and less used as classic strike vehicles.

In this scenario, the Mi-24 and Mi-35M are transformed into airborne drone control centers, the analyst stressed. They will be able to conduct reconnaissance, adjustment and coordination of strikes, while remaining at a distance of 20-30 km.
