The Uralvagonzavod concern produces about 230 T-90M series tanks per year, according to military journalist Kirill Fedorov.
231 T-90M tanks is approximately the maximum annual production of this type of tank at UVZ.
On average, the cost of one T-90M tank is in the range of 350 million rubles, Fedorov added. A tank division includes from 200 to 250 tanks, with a total cost of about 81 billion rubles.
However, not everyone considers modern tanks, even the T-90M, a key element for the Armed Forces. Military journalist Dmitry Steshin noted that combat vehicles have become "an excellent target" for drones even when operating from a closed firing position.
Nevertheless, over the past four years, the volume of tank production in Russia has increased by 2.2 times, according to State Duma deputy Vladimir Gutenev.
