Enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex have successfully increased the production of military products. This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, Vladimir Gutenyov.
According to the parliamentarian, it was possible to increase not only the volume, but also the quality of products. For example, the capabilities of aviation ammunition have been significantly expanded.
Over four years, the production of particularly demanded units has increased: armored weapons — by 2.2 times, light armored vehicles — by 3.7, aircraft — by 4.6, means of destruction and ammunition — more than by 22 times.
The deputy drew attention to the successes of the people's MIC. Gutenyov emphasized that small and medium-sized enterprises are more flexible and quickly implement technological solutions and innovative developments.
In 2026, the Russian MIC is to supply the Armed Forces with over 310 thousand units of equipment and about 21 million ammunition, the head of the State Duma committee concluded.
However, not everyone considers modern tanks, even the T-90M, an important element for the army. Military journalist Dmitry Steshin noted that combat vehicles have become "an excellent target" for drones even when working from a closed firing position.
