AvtoVAZ reported a profit for the first quarter of 2026. As explained by the company, stable sales growth was achieved through careful preparation of the production plan, sales, and financial model at the planning stage in 2025. The earned funds will be used to finance the plant's investment program.
In three months, 65,461 Lada and Xcite brand cars were sold through the dealer network. At the same time, according to the Avtostat analytical agency, sales of Lada alone decreased by 17.4% during this period, to 63.8 thousand units. The company noted that current sales are stimulated by price reductions. The Lada Aura has become 14% cheaper, and the Lada Largus - 3.8%. Cars of the Niva family are also in high demand, especially the Travel model with a new 1.8-liter engine.
Earlier it was reported that 104.3 thousand new passenger cars were sold on the Russian market in March, which is 31% more than in the same month last year. Lada remained the leader with a market share of 24.1%: AvtoVAZ dealers sold more than 25 thousand cars in a month, which is approximately the same as in March 2025.
