TMH and FPC have officially announced the conclusion of a new long-term contract for the supply of more than 2,700 passenger cars with locomotive traction. The deal, worth over 400 billion rubles, agreed upon by the parties back in February, provides for deliveries in the period from 2026 to 2030.
This year, the Tver Carriage Works, which is part of the TMH structure, will manufacture and ship 480 cars to the "Federal Passenger Company" (a subsidiary of JSC "Russian Railways").
The supply range will include both single-deck and double-deck cars of various modifications. The contract includes the manufacture of 449 single-deck cars of T gauge, as well as the development and serial production of next-generation double-deck cars.
The anticipation of the new contract became one of the drivers for launching a large-scale investment project at TVZ: since 2024, the plant has been implementing a program to expand production capacity, for which a preferential loan was attracted from VEB.RF as part of the cluster investment mechanism. This will ensure the rhythmic fulfillment of obligations under the new agreement and maintain the workload of production lines in the future.
