Leningrad company will manufacture furniture for new landing ships of Project 11711

Strongbox will equip the interiors of the helicopter carriers Vasily Trushin and Vladimir Andreev

A contract for the production and installation of furniture and completion equipment for two large landing ships of Project 11711 has been signed with an enterprise from the Leningrad Region. The work will be carried out by Strongbox, which will act as a subcontractor in the supply chain for the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad.

According to the terms of the agreement, the company will equip two complete sets of living and service premises on the ships Vasily Trushin and Vladimir Andreev. The scope of work includes the manufacture of cabinet furniture, technical interior elements and materials for finishing. The contract amount is several hundred million rubles.

Timur Kilmatov, General Director of Strongbox, clarified that the furnishing of the first ship should be completed by the end of 2026. The customer is the St. Petersburg company Marine Integrated Systems LLC, which is responsible for the integrated equipment of ship premises. It was this company that transferred the production of furniture to a subcontractor in the Leningrad enterprise.

Large landing ships (BDK) of Project 11711 are designed to transport naval landing forces and military equipment. A ship-based multi-purpose or transport-combat helicopter can be based on the deck.
